Welcome to Photography by Michael R. Ciancanelli

I am a photographer located northwest of Chicago. My interest in photography started when I was in college. At the time I was living in Chicago.  Most of the subject matter pertain to urban environment and events. Once I moved to the suburbs my interest was nature and portraits. There was a ten year gap in my photography due to other interest. I resume my interest in photography in 2001. My current interest is nature, portraits, glamour, and nudes. Photography has always been a hobby. The picture shown on this site is nature with a touch of gardening. The majority of the photographs were taken at forest preserves located northwest of Chicago. This site will be updated to include my other interest.
